As I nervously picked the design material up from the security scanner. When I looked up and saw the first overwhelmingly tall metal spiked door roll open. There was an alarm wondering how on Earth I managed to get here, and more importantly, would I be able to safely get out…
Forever led by curiosity and a willingness to help others, one of the most rewarding experiences of my life was being locked in a room full of prisoners, teaching them about design thinking, heuristics, and empowering them to build products to serve others. We weren’t just designing software, we were impacting someone’s life. It’s moments like these that fuel my love of design and collaborating with others.
For more than 8 years I have had the opportunity to design meaningful solutions in complex, highly regulated environments. I see my role is not just ‘design’, but to unify the team’s vision and empower everyone to take responsibility for the user experience.

Hello hellooooo!
I’m a maker who believes in learning by doing. While I may be a reluctant runner, I’m not afraid of a challenge, whether it’s a cryptic crossword or a large embroidery piece. As a thoughtful traveler and avid people-watcher, I find inspiration in unexpected places and different perspectives. I also train both cats and dogs, and can’t wait for my own border collie (whom I shall name Tux) and participate in agility.
If we ever get to work together, I hope you’ll be entertained by my unique illustrated storytelling, have fun generating brilliant ideas in my workshops, and hopefully mildly impressed by my simple, strategic, and deliverable designs.
